NBFA functions as a catalyst for the creative arts, supporting the organizations that serve the artists.

NBFA continues to collaborate and expand the scope of success of major arts and heritage not-for-profit organizations in New Brunswick. The NBFA does so by managing the Arts and Cultural Endowment Incentives program, a program that invites active involvement from the private sector in the cultural affairs of the community by providing matching funds of up to two dollars for every dollar raised from private donors by participating arts organizations, to create endowment funds or to increase existing endowments. NBFA has implemented a very successful Arts and Heritage Stabilization program, a rigorous program that aims at quality management and quality governance while enabling creativity to thrive.

Although the Stabilization program is now winding down, the NBFA is preparing for an expansion of the stabilization model to include smaller organizations, to provide the ongoing professional support to participating organizations, to provide assistance with marketing, human resources development, governance structure, seed money for special projects, and networking opportunities.
