Patron Categories

The Order of Patrons of the NBFA is an exclusive group of cultural leaders who have made important contributions to the New Brunswick Foundation for the Arts Endowment Fund. These leaders are inducted in the Order of Patrons of the NBFA by the Chair of the NBFA during an annual NBFA event.

Individuals, organizations or corporations who have donated funds at one of the following levels are members of the Order of Patrons:

Platinum — $250,000 or more over 5 years

The Platinum Patron is an individual or organization who donates $250,000 or more to the NBFA Endowment Fund. The Platinum Patron becomes the Philanthropist of the Arts of the Year, is inducted in the Order of Patrons, and receives an insignia of the Order. The Platinum Patron is recognized in provincial English and French newspapers, made a lifetime Member of the NBFA, invited to the Annual General Meeting of the NBFA and to all NBFA events, entitled to all NBFA publications including the Annual Report, recognized for the donation at every NBFA news conference or special events; profiled in NBFA Annual Report and on the NBFA website and invited to annual donor recognition event/awards gala.

Gold — $100,000 or more over 5 years

The Gold Patron is an individual or organization who donates $100,000 or more to the NBFA Endowment Fund. The Gold Patron becomes the Benefactor of the Arts of the Year, is inducted in the Order of Patrons, and receives an insignia of the Order. The Gold Patron is recognized in provincial English and French newspapers, invited to the Annual General Meeting of the NBFA and to all NBFA events, entitled to all NBFA publications including the Annual Report, recognized for the donation at every NBFA news conference or special events, and profiled in NBFA Annual Report and on the NBFA website.

Silver — $50,000 or more over 5 years

The Silver Patron is an individual, an organization or a corporation who donates $50,000 or more to the NBFA Endowment Fund. The Silver Patron is inducted in the Order of Patrons, and receives an insignia of the Order. The Silver Patron is recognized in provincial English and French newspapers, invited to the Annual General Meeting of the NBFA and to all NBFA events, entitled to receive all NBFA publications including the Annual Report, recognized for the donation at every NBFA news conference or special events, and mentioned in NBFA Annual Report and on the NBFA website.

Bronze — $25,000 or more over 5 years

The Bronze Patron is an individual, an organization or a corporation who donates $25,000 or more to the NBFA Endowment Fund. The Bronze Patron is inducted in the Order of Patrons, and receives an insignia of the Order. The Bronze Patron is recognized for donation at every NBFA news conference or special events, invited to the Annual General Meeting of the NBFA and all NBFA events, entitled to receive all NBFA publications including the NBFA Annual Report, and mentioned in NBFA Annual Report and on the NBFA website.

Friend Categories

Each donation, regardless of the amount, plays a significant role in promoting and supporting the arts and culture in New Brunswick. Through the generosity of individuals, foundations, and civic-minded corporations, Friends provide funding for a variety of services and programs that contribute to the success of the NBFA. Friends are a collection of committed, caring entities who share a common vision of a community where art is accessible by all.

Associate — $20,000 or more over 5 years

An Associate is an individual, an organization or a corporation who donates $20,000 or more to the NBFA Endowment Fund or commit to donate $4,000/year or more over a period of five years. The Associate of the NBFA receives the Fellow benefits PLUS other benefits.

Fellow — $5,000 or more over 5 years

A Fellow is an individual, an organization or a corporation who donates $5,000 or more to the NBFA Endowment Fund or commit to donate $1,000/year or more over a period of five years. The Fellow of the NBFA receives the benefits of the Companion PLUS an exclusive print of a New Brunswick artist and invitations to exclusive special events and receptions.

Companion — $2,500 or more over 5 years

A Companion is an individual, an organization or a corporation who donates $2,500 or more to the NBFA Endowment Fund or commit to donate $500/year or more over a period of five years. The Companion of the NBFA receives all NBFA information and invitations to special Companions-only events.

Friend — up to $499 in a year’s time

There are many ways to become a friend of the NBFA. We invite you to join us. Our friends enable us to fund programs and services. Donations can be made in the form of cash, securities, insurance policies, endowments funds, trusts, and bequests. Although the NBFA accepts donations of any amount, any donation of $10 and more will get a receipt for income tax purposes.
